Protocol Buffer

28 July, 2008

Recently Google had release cool technologies known as Protocol Buffer which . It is something like XML. For my own opinion, it might soon be replace XML but not in widespread because, XML technologies are very mature and adopted as a standard for most of the companies.

To change from XML to protocol buffer are expensive budget. We required to change the current implementation, design in order to work with protocol buffer. But application that design from scratch might gain several benefits from protocol buffer which Goggle claims it is simple to be implemented (for my preference in terms of traversing data) and it is much more faster where overcame the limitation of XML.

Might be a good idea using in large data transfer and security areas.
